Hi,
Think twice, I have had nothing but problems with mine. 2001 Savage LS650 pushing 10,000. Unless you have nothing else to do, then you should be good. It's my main means of transpo. That why It has so many miles. This is what has happen so far 4 oil leaks on the head, one of them is streeming down the side of my bike at this time. It's the famous litle rubber plug. The exhaust almost fell off. All the covers have fallen off. When the first one fell off I locktite for all the screws. Didn't help, on the left cover the bracket that holds it on decided to snap off. Hope it didn't smack anyones car. Now with the oil leak, I now have a grinding sound in first gear, who knows what that is. So unless your board and have nothing else to do it would be a good bike for you. Because it is a simple bike. I do most or the repairs my self. But it is one thing after another.
